Maldaner Coffee Roasters in Wiesbaden
We were in the city after a meeting and were looking for a quick coffee to go. Maldaner Coffee Roasters was only around 200 meters away, so we decided to stop by.
From the moment I walked in, I was genuinely surprised. I had expected a simple coffee stop, but instead found myself in a small dream world for coffee enthusiasts. The shop is on the smaller side, with a cozy industrial vibe that immediately feels welcoming.
One detail I really loved was the coffee display in the middle of the seating area. Maldaner showcases all the roasts they produce, and instead of opening or squeezing bags, you can smell the coffees from small, hygiene-friendly aroma bottles. It is such a nice touch — and honestly, a much better alternative to customers pressing every last bit of air out of poor coffee bags until there is nothing left for the next person.
The selection of beans, drinks, and snacks is great and should make almost every guest happy, from casual coffee drinkers to full-on coffee nerds. I went for my usual flat white and chose the “Elisabeth” roast. It is a very pleasant, everyday espresso with classic hazelnut, cacao, and nougat notes. Personally, I prefer these more traditional, sweet, and balanced roasts over very acidic ones, but every other roast I smelled also seemed really interesting.
Who is this cafe for?
Definitely for coffee geeks, enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys a good cup in a cozy setting. The place feels friendly and approachable, while still offering enough detail and variety for people who really care about coffee.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for quality coffee in Wiesbaden, whether you want to grab something to go, buy beans, or just spend a relaxed moment with a very good cup of coffee.
Any downsides?
I have only been here once so far, so there is not much to complain about. Based on this first visit, Maldaner Coffee Roasters left a really strong impression — friendly, cozy, and very well made for people who love coffee.
